What do I like about the boosh:
I was always into silly telly shows and absolutely obsessed with cartoons, especially cult programs like The Simpsons, The Peanuts and stuff like that. And being a fan of almost everything british (except the weather, really) I stumbled over The Mighty Boosh one day. When watching the first episode I thought: "Oh shit... I need to be drunk to find that funny!" But I kept watching and after seeing a few episodes I really started to like it and by the time I had seen all episodes over and over again I was addicted.

I fell in love with the characters, the sceneries, the costumes, the silly one-liners and the never-seen-before-stories. It's just so much fun to let yourself being sucked into this magical world. It is the most genuine thing I have ever seen on telly. There are tons of good shows out there, no question about that, but when watching The Mighty Boosh you really have the feeling you're watching a few friends having fun, enjoying themselves together and they make me feel like I'm a part of it. The Mighty Boosh is the ultimate happy pill for me. No matter how down I am, The Boosh never fails to cheer me up.

What inspired me /us to make this site:
I have no idea why I in particular had the need to build a fansite. I love to show my fandom, but basically I'm just having a fabulous time with a friend building this thing. I would have never done it alone, but with a partner in crime it really becomes a hobby for both to enjoy. I just want you people to know, that The Velvet Onion is a true labour of love. Even if nobody will give a shit about this fansite, we still had so much fun and that is all that matters! Of course actually it would be nice if somebody DID give a shit... :-D

What do I like about the boosh:
I hated it at first. I saw it once or twice and just did not like it AT ALL, but then, as fast as I hated it, I started to love it and got a bit obsessed about it.
The boosh is all I need really when I'm having a tough day. It always makes me smile and want more.
I quote the Boosh all the time. I think they have the best oneliners. It's so much fun really, but we don't really know that much people around us that love them as well, so we must be considered insane by now, I guess. It's just MORE fun quoting the Boosh with other people. They catch the drift and you can have a hole Boosh conversation.

I love the way The mighty boosh inspires people. It makes you feel creative (even if your totally not creative at all, like me =D). When I look at The Mighty Boosh, or when I flip trough stuff on the internet, I just feel the boosh love. Julian and Noel are just so passionate about what they do. They love it and it means so much to them. You can really see/feel that when you watch the show.

What inspired me /us to make this site:
Well basically there are not that much Boosh fan sites out there. And the ones that are out there only have little bits and pieces of information. I guess we just wanted to spread the Boosh love. We wanted to make a fansite that had EVERTHING on it. It has cost us a lot of work and we have put our heart in to this, so we really hope you guys enjoy this.
